Just a quick recap on the Golden Globe awards that aired this past weekend. Though everyone is talking about Ricky Gervais, let's not forget the winners. The Omnivore got 6 out of 8 predicting wins for The Social Network, The Kids are All Right, Annette Bening, Geoffrey Rush, Melissa Leo, and Natalie Portman.
How'd we do on fashion predictions? Well, there was a lot more color this year than expected though balanced well with off-the-shoulder looks and neutral tones as we anticipated. Check out some of the highlights below:

While there are many more categories (including TV noms), all of which are important, we're going to focus on the main 9 above.
#2) Who will win? In a year full of big-budget movies and quiet, quirky dramas and with such a weird, split-voting situation within the supporting categories (not to mention the complete absence of Meryl), it's anybody's guess who will take home the coveted award from the HFPA.

The Women in the Drama category are all extremely strong contenders and really deserving of the recognition - this one is going to be tough.
The Supporting Actor in a Comedy/Drama category is almost too comical to even bother predicting so I'm leaving that one blank.
A few FACTS that you should know for Sunday night:
The Cecile B. DeMille Award is being given to Robert De Niro who has been nominated for 8 Golden Globes and won 1 for Raging Bull in 1981.
Miss Golden Globe 2010 is Gia Mantegna who is a 20 year old actress and the daughter of Joe Mantegna who played Joey Zasa in The Godfather: Part III
Calvin Klein will air its first-ever fashion commercial on Sunday during the Golden Globes on NBC
#3) The Fashion As this is really the kick-off to award season, expect the Golden Globes to set the tone for the rest of the year. We're expecting to see (the oft popular) beading and shoulder-revealing dresses for the ladies. Be on the look-out for jewel tones and monochromatic neutrals. For the gents, expect the standard sophisticated looks we've seen in the past with a bit more of a fitted, designer edge this year.
